 Why do I need to give my HMRC log in details?

To submit your tax return, you must have to use your HMRC login credentials. We are HMRC approved software and you can comfortably submit your tax return using our software. You will be required to enter your data based on your specific circumstances and review it before submitting.  What is difference between Standard & Assisted Package?

The Standard package costs £12 and allows individuals to independently submit a single tax return. This option is suitable for individuals with straightforward tax returns who are confident in completing the forms accurately on their own. The assisted package is priced at £50 and includes the submission of one tax return. With this package, you have the opportunity to have your tax return reviewed by a certified accountant and tax expert before it is submitted. Additionally, there is further assistance available as part of the assisted package.

 How does assistance work?

We provide two choices for support you can either engage in a live chat with one of our experts or communicate with us via email. Moreover, if you require a tax expert to examine your return, we can make suitable arrangements. To enable us to access your information, you have to grant us authorization via email.

 Is it possible to switch my package from standard to assisted?

 Why am I receiving the message 'Authentication Failure'?

This error is due to incorrect HMRC user name/or password. Please enter the same user’s name and password which you use to login into your govt gateway account. Make sure you type in your user ID and password rather than autofill or copy and paste. We have experienced that when some customers tried copying and pasting, they also copied “space" with either the user ID or password. hence, the validation failed and the return was not submitted until correct HMRC login details were used.

 What is HMRC user name and password?

HMRC user name and password are the same which you use to access your govt gateway account.

 I don't have National Insurance Number (NINO). Can I use DTax Filer to submit my Returns?

Yes, you can submit your return without NINO using our software but you must have Govt Gateway login.

 Can I use same login detail to submit my partner’s [husband/wife] tax return tax return?

For your partner, to file her tax return she needs to create her own login detail on our website and then she can submit her tax return.

 Is it possible to submit multiple SA100 forms for different individuals using DTaxfiler?

Yes, if you have government gate way ID for every individual.

 Do I need to make annual payments after registering and submitting?

The subscription is annual based; you are not bound for any contract once you subscribe to our software. It is sort of Pay as You Go, each subscription gives you one credit to do one tax return submission.

 I am domiciled outside the UK for taxes, how do I report this in DTax Filer?

You need to fill in the Domicile status section within “Resident Status” forms. If you are domiciled outside UK, you must choose the relevant section applicable to you. e.g if born outside UK, provide the date you come to live in the UK etc.

 What does “Open” mean in status section?

The term "Open status" in our software indicates that you have initiated the process of preparing your tax return but have not yet submitted it to HM Revenue & Customs.

 Is your software web based or does it require desktop installation?

Our software is web based you don't have to install anything, simply go on our website register with us, enter your data and submit your tax return.

 I have already submitted my tax return using other plate form but I realised a made a mistake can I resubmit my Tax return using your software?

Regardless of the method you initially used to submit your tax return, our software allows you to submit an amended tax return. Simply choose the "amended" option when you begin the process of filing your tax return.

 How will I make payment on your website?

We accept PayPal as a payment method, but if you don't have a PayPal account, you can still make a payment on our website. When you are on payment page, click on the option "I don't have a PayPal account." This will redirect you to the debit/credit card payment option.

 Do I will pay my tax to HMRC through your software as well?

We can assist you solely in the calculation of your taxes and the submission of your tax return to HMRC. The payment of taxes must be made directly to HMRC.
